Involvement In Initiatives & Campaigns

UN International Days, Years and Decades

IFHE takes these events as an occasion to raise awareness for home economics concerns. Examples are WHO Food Safety Day, International Day of Families, World Poplation Day or FAO World Food Day.

HeForSheAtHome Campaign

IFHE supports the United Nations global solidarity movement for gender equality. See their #HeForSheAtHome campaign launched to hightlight the unfair COVID-19 burden on women.

Clean Cooking Alliance

The Alliance aims to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by creating a global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions.

Zero Hunger Challenge

ZHC is a network to achieve collective impact in the area of food security, nutrition and sustainable food systems.

International Year of the Family (IYF) Campaign

IFHE was actively involved in the planning of the IYF, established by the UN in 1994. Since then, we run campaigns on the occasion of IYF decennial anniversaries. The 20th anniversary campaign led to a publication on Family Socioeconomic and Cultural Issues.
