IFHE supports members with travel grants and scholarships. This opportunity is make possible by fundraising efforts of IFHE member organisations and enables Home Economics academics and practitioners from developing countries to increase their international exposure.
Pursuant to its mission to advocate for Home Economics education, IFHE establishes a 9 month scholarship for Home Economics students. The scholarship starts in January 2020.
The IFHE scholarship recognizes students for achievements in promoting the profession and putting its interdisciplinary values into practice. It aims to identify and financially support Home Economics students to advance the profession on an international level through work on an international project. The scholarship includes a two-year membership to IFHE and reimbursement of travel costs to international IFHE meetings and related events up to 3.000EUR.
Students are selected for their ability to put the spirit of the scholarship into practice in their own communities (upon graduation). Other specific selection criteria include:

Forty-five grants to pay Congress registration and Hyatt Regency Atlanta hotel rooms will be available to IFHE members from developing countries. Applications must be submitted between June 1-August 31 2019.

International Home Economics Services (IHES) offers eight scholarships for home economics professionals from developing countries to attend the IFHE World Congress in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, August 2-8, 2020.
