Advocacy At The United Nations

IFHE holds consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (1981), FAO (1952) and UNESCO (1965) and is associated to the UN Department of Global Communications/DPI.

We use our special access to UN platforms to address multi-dimensional economic, social and ecological aspects that are key to achieving a quality of life for all. IFHE promotes education for the responsible use of resources at various levels, e.g.

  • At UN consultations and campaigns,
  • Through the specific interpretation of Sustainable Development Goals or
  • Via NGO Partnerships and UN Representatives in New York, Vienna and Geneva.
