IFHE connects individuals and organisations from almost 60 countries.
Our members are researchers and practitioners from diverse Home Economics disciplines. They foster new knowledge through research and empower families and their communities to develop the capacity for agency. IFHE members work in academia from early childhood to higher education, in community services and education or agricultural extension, in businesses, government or health services, among others.

IFHE holds consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (1981), FAO (1952) and UNESCO (1965) and is associated to the UN Department of Global Communications/DPI.
