Partnership Agreement in Cameroon

Partnership Agreement between The Ministry of Secodary Education (MINESEC) and the "Councellors Association in Home Economics in Cameroon (CHEA-CA)"

There is signed an agreement between:
The Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC), represented by the Minister Mr Louis Bapes Bapes, acting as a state authority here after name she are hand; and the Women Counsellors Association in Home Economics in Cameroon (CHEA-CA) represented by Ms Wandji Marie-Louise NWAFO-WANDJI, IFHE EC Member of the African Region

3rd IFHE Africa Regional Conference

"Home Economics: from a non profit sector to the market area for sustainable and better quality of life"

22 - 24 August 2007

The 3rd IFHE Africa Regional Conference was held at Yaoundé Congress Center in Yaoundé Cameroon during 22-24 August 2007. About 110 Participants attended, 84 from Cameroon, 19 from Nigeria, 4 from Central Africa Republic, 2 from Sudan and one from France.

 

The first day was for the Francophone participants which was a common debate on the French IFHE-Africa platform on a strategic planning .The program for the rest two days was very rich where presentations on Entrepreneurship, education, and employment in home economics, were discussed .The opening session was attended by the Mayor of Yaoundé Open Council, the Representative of the Ministry of Secondary Education, and various Home Economies related organisations. In the opening session a congratulatory message was send by Lilha LEE, Ph.D., President of IFHE and read by Prof. Sidiga WASHI, IFHE Africa Vice-President.

 

A Business meeting was conducted for IFHE members to discuss various IHFE Africa issues with focus on the IFHE Jubilee Congress in 2008 and how to facilitate the attendance of many IFHE Africa members. A social program was accompanied.

 

This 3rd Regional Congress has resulted in rercruiting more members to join IFHE. Thanks to Mari-Louise NWAFO WANDJI, IFHE EC member and the chair of the Organising Committee for her leadership and the well organised conference.
